Itinerary
Day 1
Gateway to Bhutan | Bagdogra → Phuentsholing
- Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, meet our representative and begin your scenic road journey towards Jaigaon,
- the Indian border town adjoining Bhutan. After crossing the border,
- continue to Phuentsholing, where you will arrive by evening. Check in to your hotel and relax after the journey. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Day 2
Into the Himalayan Kingdom | Phuentsholing → Thimphu
- After breakfast, complete the required permit formalities at Jaigaon and begin your journey towards Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.
- Enjoy a scenic drive through beautiful countryside, broad-leaved forests, waterfalls, mountain roads, villages, and towns.
- En route, stop at Chuzom Bridge, where the Paro and Thimphu rivers meet, and admire the welcoming portrait of the King and Queen.
- By evening, arrive in Thimphu and check in to your hotel. If time permits, explore the local markets. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 3
Himalayan Passes & Sacred Valleys | Thimphu → Punakha
- After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Punakha, located around 75 km from Thimphu.
- Your first stop will be the scenic Dochu La Pass, where you can admire the surrounding Himalayan views and
- visit the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens. After lunch, embark on a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the famous Temple of Fertility dedicated to Lam Drukpa Kuenley, also known as the Divine Madman.
- Continue to Punakha Dzong, beautifully situated at the confluence of the Mo Chhu and Po Chhu Rivers.
- After completing the sightseeing, return to Thimphu. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 4
Thimphu Highlights | Thimphu → Paro
- After breakfast, proceed for Thimphu local sightseeing, covering Simply Bhutan and the Buddha Statue.
- Later, continue your journey towards Paro.
- Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy dinner before relaxing for the evening. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 5
The Iconic Bhutan Experience | Tiger’s Nest Monastery
- After breakfast, get ready for one of the highlights of your Bhutan journey — a visit to the legendary Taktsang Monastery, popularly known as Tiger’s Nest.
- Drive to the starting point of the hiking trail and begin your trek through beautiful pine forests towards the monastery.
- The hike generally takes around 2–4 hours, depending on your pace, leading to this sacred monastery dramatically perched approximately 900 metres above the valley.
- Spend peaceful moments exploring the monastery and enjoying its spiritual surroundings before beginning your return hike to Paro. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 6
Farewell to Bhutan | Paro → Phuentsholing → Siliguri
- After breakfast, check out and begin your scenic return journey towards Siliguri.
- Travel through the beautiful mountain roads and cross Phuentsholing before entering India through Jaigaon.
- Continue towards Siliguri and arrive by evening. Check in to your hotel and relax after the journey. Overnight stay in Siliguri.
Day 7
Journey Home | Siliguri → Bagdogra Departure
