Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive in Paro & Transfer to Thimphu
  • Welcome to Bhutan! Upon arrival at Paro Airport, you will be transferred to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.
  • Spend the day exploring Thimphu and visit the grand Tashichho Dzong, followed by the magnificent Memorial Chorten.
  • Later, visit the giant golden Great Buddha Dordenma Statue and enjoy the beautiful sunset views over the valley. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 2
Thimphu Exploration → Punakha
  • After breakfast, enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Thimphu,
  • visiting museums, Indigenous Medicine Hospital, convents, monasteries, the weekend market, and a wildlife sanctuary.
  • Later, drive towards Punakha through dense forests and the spectacular Dochu La Pass, situated at an elevation of around 3,050 metres.
  • Enjoy the panoramic Himalayan views before continuing to the subtropical Punakha Valley.
  • Visit the impressive Punakha Dzong, followed by the local market and an evening prayer ceremony at the nunnery. Overnight stay in Punakha.
Day 3
Punakha → Dochu La → Paro
  • After an early breakfast, proceed for a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the famous temple dedicated to Drukpa Kunley.
  • Later, drive back through Dochu La Pass and continue towards Lungchutse Lhakhang, enjoying a scenic trek through beautiful Himalayan forests.
  • After a picnic lunch amidst the mountain surroundings, walk downhill to Trashigang Goemba.
  • Later, continue by road to Paro and check in to your hotel. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 4
Hike to Tiger's Nest Monastery
  • After breakfast, embark on a full-day hike to the iconic Paro Taktsang, also known as Tiger’s Nest Monastery.
  • Trek along the mountain trail to this spectacular monastery perched on the cliffs overlooking the Paro Valley.
  • After exploring Tiger’s Nest, descend and visit Khyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples.
  • In the evening, enjoy a memorable farewell dinner with your guide. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 5
Paro | Leisure & Departure
  • Spend your final morning exploring Paro at leisure. Depending on your departure schedule,
  • visit the National Museum, Rinpung Dzong, or Dumtse Lhakhang, known for its beautiful murals.
  • Later, proceed to Paro Airport for your onward flight. Tour ends with beautiful memories of Bhutan.
