Shangarh is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Sainj Valley, part of the UNESCO-listed Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP). This serene hamlet is known for its untouched meadows, dense pine forests, and deep spiritual energy. At the center of Shangarh lies the iconic Shangarh meadow, a sacred pasture believed to be gifted by the gods, surrounded by ancient deodar trees and traditional Himachali wooden temples. Far from the bustle of tourist crowds, Shangarh offers the perfect retreat for nature lovers, trekkers, and those seeking peace. Whether you’re exploring nearby forest trails, visiting the age-old Shangchul Mahadev Temple, or simply soaking in the stillness of the mountains, Shangarh invites you to slow down and reconnect—with nature and yourself.
Itinerary
Day 0
DEPARTURE FROM DELHI OVERNIGHT JOURNEY TO SHANGARH
- We depart from Delhi around 7:00 PM in an AC Vehicle. (Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it.)
- Pit stop for dinner at any decent roadside restaurant.
Day 1
SHANGARH ARRIVAL - MEADOW - SHANGCHUL MAHADEV TEMPLE - OVERNIGHT STAY AT SHANGARH
- Reach Shangarh by morning.
- Check in at a beautiful Homestay/Campsite, relax, freshen up.
- Hike the beautiful meadow and visit the Shangchul Mahadev Temple
- Dinner and night stays are offered at the Homestay/Campsite.
Day 2
RAILA WATERFALLS - RAILA TEMPLE - OVERNIGHT STAY AT SHANGARH
- Wake up with the beautiful sight in front of your eyes
- Have breakfast and leave for the Raila expedition. Raila is a small village that has Rupi Raila waterfalls
- Trek to magnificent Rupi Raila waterfalls
- Visit the Twin Towers before we head back to Shangarh.
- Return back to the stay for some dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3
DEPARTURE FROM SHANGARH
- Wake up, and feel the breathtaking view of morning.
- Have breakfast, enjoy near by places
- Check out from Homestay/Campsite.
- Later depart for Delhi by 7 pm with lots of breathtaking views and everlasting memories of Shangarh.
Day 4
REACH DELHI IN THE MORNING
- Reach Delhi in the morning.
Inclusions
- Entire travel as per the itinerary.
- Accommodation for 2 nights in a hotel/guest house at Shangarh
- A total of 4 meals — 1 meals on Day 1 (D) + 2 meals on Day 2 (B+D) + 1 meal Day 3 (B)
- Team Captain throughout the trip.
- Driver Night Charges, Permits, Toll and Parking charges.
Exclusions
- GST (5%) is applicable extra.
- Any other Food and Beverage charge that is not included in the package.
- Any other expense not mentioned in the inclusion column.
- Any other costing involved due to any kind of natural calamity forced circumstances which are out of our control.
