Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival at Bagdogra – Transfer to Phuentsholing
  • Upon your arrival at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP), our representative will warmly welcome you and assist you with your transfer to Bhutan. Enjoy a scenic drive to Jaigaon, the last Indian town before crossing the international border into Bhutan.
  • After entering Bhutan, arrive in Phuentsholing and complete the required immigration and permit formalities. Once the process is complete, check in to your hotel and relax after the journey.
  • Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Day 2
Phuentsholing – Thimphu
  • After breakfast, begin your picturesque drive to Thimphu, the charming capital city of Bhutan. The route takes you through lush forests, winding mountain roads, cascading waterfalls, and peaceful villages, offering breathtaking Himalayan landscapes throughout the journey.
  • En route, stop at the beautiful Chuzom Confluence, where the Paro and Thimphu Rivers meet. You can also admire the welcoming portraits of the King and Queen of Bhutan.
  • Upon arrival in Thimphu, check in to your hotel. If time allows, take a leisurely stroll through the local markets or explore the unique city, famously known for having no traffic lights.
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 3
Thimphu Sightseeing
  • Enjoy a delicious breakfast before setting out to explore Bhutan's vibrant capital. Begin your sightseeing with the National Library, home to a remarkable collection of ancient Bhutanese and Tibetan manuscripts.
  • Visit the Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory to witness the traditional process of handmade paper production. Continue to the National Memorial Chorten, built in memory of the Third King of Bhutan.
  • Later, visit the magnificent Buddha Dordenma Statue, one of the world's largest seated Buddha statues, offering panoramic views of Thimphu Valley. Explore the historic SimtokhaDzong, Bhutan's oldest fortress, followed by the Royal Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan's national animal.
  • Continue to Sangaygang Viewpoint for spectacular valley views before visiting the impressive TashichhoDzong, the administrative and religious center of Bhutan. End the day at the Folk Heritage Museum to experience traditional Bhutanese culture. In the evening, enjoy shopping for authentic handicrafts and souvenirs in the local markets.

Day 4
Thimpu - Punakha
  • After breakfast, drive towards the beautiful valley of Punakha. Your first stop will be the scenic Dochu La Pass, one of Bhutan's most spectacular mountain passes, offering breathtaking Himalayan views on clear days.
  • Visit the famous 108 DrukWangyalChortens and the beautiful DrukWangyel Monastery before continuing your journey.
  • Enjoy a short hike to ChimiLhakhang, also known as the Temple of Fertility, where many couples visit to seek blessings. Continue to WangduePhodrangDzong, one of Bhutan's oldest fortresses.
  • Later, visit the stunning KhamsumYulleyNamgyalChorten, beautifully perched above the Punakha Valley. Conclude the day's sightseeing at the magnificent PunakhaDzong, located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu Rivers.
  • Check in to your hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Punakha.
Day 5
Excursion to Phobjikha Valley
  • After breakfast, enjoy a full-day excursion to the breathtaking Phobjikha Valley, one of Bhutan's most picturesque glacial valleys.
  • Famous for its pristine landscapes, the valley is also the winter home of the rare Black-Necked Cranes that migrate from Tibet every year.
  • Visit the beautiful Gangtey Monastery, a 17th-century monastery overlooking the entire valley, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere and panoramic views.
  • Later, return to Punakha.
  • Overnight stay in Punakha.
Day 6
Punakha - Paro
  • After breakfast, drive towards the beautiful town of Paro.
  • En route, stop at the historic TachogangLhakhang, connected by a traditional iron suspension bridge over the Paro River.
  • Upon arrival, check in to your hotel before beginning your sightseeing tour. Visit the National Museum housed in the historic Ta Dzong, followed by the impressive RinpungDzong, one of Bhutan's finest architectural masterpieces and an important religious and administrative center.
  • Return to your hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 7
Tiger's Nest Monastery Excursion
  • After breakfast, prepare for one of the highlights of your Bhutan journey.
  • Drive to the base of the hiking trail leading to the world-famous Taktsang Monastery, popularly known as the Tiger's Nest.
  • Enjoy a rewarding trek through beautiful pine forests to reach this sacred monastery dramatically perched on a cliff approximately 900 metres above the valley floor. Spend time exploring the monastery, admiring the stunning surroundings, and experiencing the peaceful spiritual atmosphere.
  • After completing the hike, return to Paro.
  • Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 8
Excursion to Chele La Pass
  • After breakfast, proceed towards Chele La Pass, the highest motorable mountain pass in Bhutan, situated at an altitude of approximately 13,000 feet.
  • The scenic drive passes through dense forests, waterfalls, and seasonal rhododendron blooms.
  • At the pass, enjoy magnificent views of Mount Jomolhari, Bhutan's most sacred peak, along with Mount Jichu Drake and panoramic views of both Paro and Haa Valleys.
  • Return to Paro in the afternoon. Spend your evening exploring the vibrant local market or relaxing at your hotel.
  • Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 9
Paro - Siliguri
  • After breakfast, begin your return journey towards India.
  • Drive through Phuentsholing before crossing the border and continuing towards Siliguri while enjoying the scenic Himalayan landscapes along the way.
  • Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax.
  • Overnight stay in Siliguri.
Day 10
Departure
  • After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey.
  • Your memorable Bhutan holiday comes to an end with wonderful memories of majestic mountains, ancient monasteries, vibrant culture, and warm Bhutanese hospitality.
