Kashmir is a place to visit all year round. It wears unique looks in all four seasons of the year, namely spring, summer, autumn, and winter. In the spring season, the valley looks multi-hued with flowers of vivid colors and varieties. Summer days are refreshing with lush green meadows while the autumn season is characterized by fruit-laden trees. Winter season is the best time to indulge in snow sports over the snow-clad valley. So, it would be better if you could visit Kashmir in all four seasons to witness four different views of the valley which looks like a picture straight out of a fairytale.

The traditional food of Kashmir is a must-try when you visit there. The cuisines are of 2 types: Wazwan and Batta. Wazwan is the food of the Muslim community, And Batta is the food of the Pandits who live in Kashmir. If we shortlisted the names then Rogan Josh, Goshtaba, Dum Aloo, Kashmiri Rajma, Naat Yakhni, Aab Gosht, Tabak Maaz, and Nadir Monji are the most famous dishes of Kashmir.

Pre-paid numbers don't work in Kashmir. Only Post-paid numbers work in Kashmir. MNTL/ BSNL has the widest coverage in Kashmir.

Yes, travelling to Kashmir is absolutely safe. However, don’t be shocked by the abundance of military checkpoints, tanks on the side of the road, military trucks and heavy-armed soldiers roaming down the streets.

The distance between Kashmir and Delhi is approximately 842 kilometres. You can take a flight from New Delhi to Srinagar that will take around 1 hour and 25 minutes. While travelling via train will take you 7 hours and 25 minutes.

Ideally, at least a week would be needed to explore Kashmir and its hidden gems.

The best time to visit Kashmir is in the summer season, between the months of April and June.

The weather of Kashmir in winter blankets the region with a thick sheet of snow. This is between the months of December to February.

The Sheikh Ul-Alam International Airport in Srinagar is approximately 6 hours and 33 minutes away from Jammu.

We do not recommend anyone to bring a trolley bag as it takes a lot of space. And from the parking place to your room you need to carry your own luggage so it won’t be convenient with trolley bags.
