Udaipur has 2 lakes and a channeling of water inside the city itself with a couple of lakes surrounding the city, and hence is called “City of Lakes”. This could be misinterpreted as “blue city” but Jodhpur is the city in Rajasthan that is already called as blue city.
However, the best time to visit Udaipur is between September and March. During this time the temperature is not too hot, but with the start of November till February the weather is chilly. Udaipur is extremely hot from March to June, and that can be very exhausting for people who want to explore the city.
